Gary Burton

Gary Burton

Gary Burton, 71, of Chippewa Lake, peacefully passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, with his loving wife by his side. He was born February 21, 1942 in Cleveland.

After working hard for his family and retiring from iron work, being a steeple jack and being in the 101st Airborne, Gary could be found almost every morning on the banks of Chippewa Lake doing what he loved, fishing. His other passion was playing on a pool league every week and spending time with his dogs. Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Sherri; loving sons, Robert A. Burton and Michael Burton; daughter-in-law, Lisa Burton; brother, Robert Burton; loving granddaughter, Morgan Burton; and loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, four brothers-in-law, and their wives and friends. Special thanks to Hospice of Medina County Staff.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille Burton; and sister, Terry.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11 A.M. with service at Chippewa Church at the Lake United Methodist, 7824 Lake Rd., Chippewa Lake. Pastor Pamela Sayre will be presiding over the service.

Any contributions can be sent to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256 or Church of the Lake United Methodist, 7284 Lake Rd., Chippewa Lake, OH 44215.
