We just saw this and thought we would share the info with all of you....
According to a girl name Cynthia, who was attending Highland in 1953, she remembers that a vote was taken to determined what the mascot would be called. Of course you all know the school became known as the Highland Hornets....
As far as school colors, she said that black came from Sharon, green came from Granger and white came from Hinckley......
